INTRODUCTION

At only 25 years old, Federica Guida is one of the youngest sopranos in the international opera scene. She began her musical studies at the Alessandro Scarlatti Conservatory of Music in Palermo, where in 2019, she obtained a first-level diploma in opera singing with honors and distinction.

She was a first-prize winner at international competitions such as Aslico, the Beppe de Tommasi Prize and the Portofino International Competition in 2019.

CAREER

Federica Guida began her career with debuts at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and the Wiener Staatsoper, just to name a few.
Among her notable debuts, she stood out as one of the youngest performers in the role of the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte at the Wiener Staatsoper, where she was an ensemble member in the 2019/20 season. She portrayed Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi in the film directed by Damiano Michieletto. She debuted as Despina in Così Fan Tutte, conducted by Giovanni Antonini, in La Calisto under the baton of Christoph Rousset and in Thaïs conducted by Lorenzo Viotti at Teatro alla Scala, as Musetta in La Bohème at Teatro Massimo in Palermo,  Gilda under the direction of Leo Nucci and conducted by Placido DomingoShe performed as Oscar in Un ballo in maschera at Teatro alla Scala under the baton of Nicola Luisotti and Giampaolo Bisanti and as Leïla in Les pêcheurs de perles at Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, conducted by Ramon Tebar.  She will also interpret the role of Musetta in the season opening of Puccini Festival 2023 with La Bohème
Among her future engagements, she will perform as Musetta in La Bohème at the Teatro Regio in Turin, portray Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice and Leïla in Les Pêcheurs de Perles at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. Additionally, she will make her debut at the Opéra National de Paris in the role of Nannetta in Falstaff conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. She will return to the Teatro Massimo in Palermo as Matilde in Elisabetta Regina di Inghilterra, and debut as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège.
