Mirco Palazzi


Italian Bass Mirco Palazzi made his debut in 2001 in Don Giovanni  and has since then performed in the most important theaters worldwide. Highly acclaimed for the nobility of his voice and engaging musicality, considered one of the finest interpreter of the belcanto repertoire.
In 2019, his rendition of the role of Assur in Rossini’s Semiramide conducted by Sir Mark Elder published by Opera Rara has been unanimously praised by the music press worldwide.


He has performed in prestigious opera houses as Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Liceu de Barcelona, Washington Opera, Dallas Opera, Teatro Regio di Torino, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, Opera di Roma, Kölner Philharmonie, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Barbican Centre of London, Suntory Hall of Tokyo, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow to mention a few.

He worked with such conductors as Roberto Abbado, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Riccardo Chailly, Myung-Whun Chung, Diego Fasolis, Valery Gergiev, Christopher Hogwood, Gianandrea Noseda, Antonio Pappano, Daniele Rustioni, Alberto Zedda, and with such directors as Luca Ronconi, Pierluigi Pizzi, Denis Krief and Robert Carsen.

Recent engagements included Semiramide (Assur) at Royal Opera House conducted by M° Pappano, Rosmonda d’Inghilterra, La Cenerentola and Semiramide at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Anna Bolena (Enrico VIII) and Maria Stuarda (Talbot) at Opéra de Marseille, Semiramide (Assur) the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment at Royal Albert Hall in London, Rossini’s Otello (Elmiro) at Teatro San Carlo in Napoli, Il viaggio a Reims (Lord Sidney) at Royal Danish Theatre and Maometto II (title role) at Rossini in Wildbad Festival, Jérusalem (Roger) at Teatro Regio in Parma, Lucia di Lammermoor (Raimondo) at Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London conducted by M° Mariotti, Pulcinella (Bass) at Teatro San Carlo in Napoli.

Engagements in the 2018/19 season include Il barbiere di Siviglia (Don Basilio) at Opéra de Marseille and at Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, Rossini’s Stabat Mater with Orchestre National de Lille and with Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, Anna Bolena (Enrico VIII) at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and Don Giovanni (Leporello) at Teatro Regio in Turin under M° Rustioni, La Sonnambula (Conte Rodolfo) conducted by M° Oren at National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Haendel’s Acis and Galatea at the Purtimiro Festival in Lugo, Lucia di Lammermoor at Teatro de La Maestranza de Seville, Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini with Fondazione Toscanini in Parma with M° Gelmetti,  Rossini’s Stabat Mater with Orchestra del teatro Comuanale di Bologna conducted by M° Mariotti, Don Giovanni (Leporello) at Opéra de Nice and at Festival d’Antibes, Le nozze di Figaro (Figaro) at Opéra de Marseille, La Gazza Ladra in Lisbon, Pulcinella (basso) Teatro San Carlo in Naples and La Ricordanza at Rossini Opera Festival.
