Italian Bass Mirco Palazzi made his debut in 2001 in Don Giovanni and has since then performed in the most important theaters worldwide. Highly acclaimed for the nobility of his voice and engaging musicality, considered one of the finest interpreter of the belcanto repertoire.
In 2019, his rendition of the role of Assur in Rossini’s Semiramide conducted by Sir Mark Elder published by Opera Rara has been unanimously praised by the music press worldwide.
He has performed in prestigious opera houses as Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Liceu de Barcelona, Washington Opera, Dallas Opera, Teatro Regio di Torino, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, Opera di Roma, Kölner Philharmonie, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Barbican Centre of London, Suntory Hall of Tokyo, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow to mention a few.
He worked with such conductors as Roberto Abbado, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Riccardo Chailly, Myung-Whun Chung, Diego Fasolis, Valery Gergiev, Christopher Hogwood, Gianandrea Noseda, Antonio Pappano, Daniele Rustioni, Alberto Zedda, and with such directors as Luca Ronconi, Pierluigi Pizzi, Denis Krief and Robert Carsen.
